Has the impact of Covid19 changed the way you run your business? Have you changed anything at all?
With all the craziness going on at the minute, we understand that wrapping your head around your business and marketing can be a challenge.
In this blog, we want to discuss the ways businesses have adapted to suit the new covid world and how you can apply similar tactics.
Communication
Seen as it’s a virus and passed through people, we have been seeing a lot less of each other. This means less meetings, less catch ups, less face to face discussions within your company. And if you’re a B2C business, it also means you’re having less contact with your customers.
As humans, we crave attention from others. We need that human aspect to be able to make a connection with other people, other brands, products, etc. And now we can’t see each other in person, those connections are fading.
However, you can still make an effort to stay in touch with those people who keep your business going. Such as taking meetings online, communicating with customers directly over social media and hosting social distanced events. It’s so important that you remain front of mind with your customers and show support for the people in your business too.
Business Models
One of the biggest ways people have had to adapt is by changing their offerings. So not losing hope and stopping their business altogether, but finding solutions to how they can offer suitably during Covid.
A few examples of how certain businesses have done this include restaurants offering take outs and curbside pickups. Instead of just closing altogether, they can still profit from allowing customers to take their meals home. Whilst some gyms have closed, Personal Trainers can still provide PT sessions through sites like Zoom or Skype.
Sometimes, if you really can’t find an alternative way to offer your products or services safely, it’s a case of expanding your offering. A great way to do this is by providing online courses to your consumers. So for instance, makeup artists can’t see their clients in person but they could share tutorials with those who are willing to pay a small fee.
Shopping and eCommerce
The way people shop has changed drastically over the last few months, there’s no denying that. Consumers have resorted to shopping online and even though some shops are back open for business, people are still choosing to browse online.
Not only is it safer for some, but it can make the customer experience a lot more easy and less pressured. They can browse in their own time, and choose when and if they purchase.
If you are a company that sells physical products and still aren’t online, then you should really consider starting an eCommerce site. Sometimes that can be pricey, but other alternatives likes Facebook Shops and Etsy work just as well. It means you can continue selling to the customers who want your products and make money during these troubling times.
There’s no way to tell when this pandemic may end so it’s important we all keep our chins up. Adapt and improve your services so you can continue running your business and doing the thing you love most.
