Leap for Lindsay

Every Jump Matters

There are some people who leave footprints on your heart that can never be replaced.

My beautiful friend, Lindsay, was one of those people.

In May this year, after an incredibly brave battle with cancer, we lost Lindsay far too soon. She faced every challenge with remarkable courage, determination and grace, but what I’ll remember most isn’t her illness—it’s how she lived.

If you knew Lindsay, you’ll know exactly what I mean.

She was always the last one standing at every celebration, every party and every gathering. While everyone else was looking for a chair or heading home, Lindsay was still laughing, dancing and making memories. She had an infectious energy, incredible stamina and a strength that inspired everyone around her.

That strength never left her.

She carried it with her throughout her cancer journey, facing every day with the same resilience that defined her life. She truly was one of the bravest people I’ve ever known.

Lindsay will always be with us—in our memories, in our laughter and in the countless stories we’ll continue to tell. But I wanted to do something more. Something that celebrates who she was while helping others facing their own cancer journey.

That’s why we’re launching Leap for Lindsay.

Throughout July and August 2026, we’re asking friends, families, colleagues, businesses and communities to come together with one simple goal:

100,000 Jumps for Lindsay

Every jump represents strength.

Every jump represents hope.

Every jump honours an incredible woman.

And every jump helps raise vital funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust, supporting young people whose lives have been turned upside down by cancer.

Why jumping?

For many women, especially during menopause and beyond, bone health becomes increasingly important.

As oestrogen levels decline during menopause, bone density naturally decreases, increasing the risk of osteoporosis and fractures. While calcium, Vitamin D and a healthy diet all play an important role, research has shown that weight-bearing impact exercises, including jumping, can help stimulate bone formation, improve bone strength and maintain bone density when carried out safely.

In other words…

Something as simple as jumping can make a real difference.

This challenge isn’t just about fundraising.

It’s about encouraging women to look after themselves too.

It’s about reminding ourselves that investing just a few minutes each day in our own health can have lifelong benefits.

It’s about taking positive action for ourselves and for others.

Every jump counts

Whether you complete 20 jumps each day…

100 jumps…

500 jumps…

or even thousands across the summer…

Every single jump brings us one step closer to our goal.

No matter your age or fitness level, you can be part of something truly special.

Because together, thousands of small efforts become one incredible achievement.

Will you take the leap?

I’m asking everyone I know to get involved.

Families.

Friends.

Work colleagues.

Schools.

Sports clubs.

Community groups.

Businesses.

Let’s come together to remember an amazing woman and support an amazing charity.

Together we can celebrate Lindsay’s life, improve our own wellbeing, encourage conversations around women’s bone health and menopause, and raise vital funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

A quick note about taking part

Your health and safety are important. Please only take part in activities that are appropriate for your own level of fitness and health.

If you have osteoporosis, significant joint problems, have recently had surgery, are pregnant, or have any medical condition that may affect your ability to jump safely, please speak with your GP or healthcare professional before taking part. Remember, everyone can contribute in their own way, and if jumping isn’t suitable for you, we’d still love your support through donating, volunteering or cheering others on.

Thank you for helping us honour Lindsay’s memory and support the life-changing work of the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Together, we can make every jump matter. ❤️
