We absolutely smashed last week’s blog where we shared 5 ways to make your social media graphics POP. In fact, it did so well we’ve decided to bring you part 2 even sooner!
So if you’re interested to learn more about how to up your social media game then carry on reading.
#1 – Get consistent
Being consistent is so important when posting on social media. Remember in the last blog when we mentioned utilising your brand in your graphics, well consistency provides the same thing. Having consistent graphics and visual aesthetic means people are more likely to recognise your businesses’ post in their feeds. Thus meaning they are more likely to stop, take notice and take an action – whether that’s liking, commenting or sharing.

#2 – Know your platform
Each social media platform is different. It has different benefits and pitfalls, and provides a different experience for you as a brand but also for your followers. For example, Instagram is a very visual platform so would be ideal for businesses like a bakery or jeweller who need to showcase their products. They also have their own individual image dimensions requirement (we know – what a faff!) So you need to make sure your images are the right size for each platform.

#3 – Think outside the box
Don’t be boring because that really won’t get you very far. People are more likely to stop scrolling when they see something that catches their eye, something that’s different from the rest of the ‘stuff’ on their feed. Think bold and be brave with your decisions when posting online whether that’s funny behind the scenes stories or controversial opinions. Make people’s jaws drop.

#4 – Keep it simple
Granted, that doesn’t mean take it overboard. You can still do something drastic without overcomplicating your creative. Simplicity is favoured and looks best to your customers online.
Think along the lines of…
- Using icons, eye-catching graphics and illustrations
- Limit font choice to 2 fonts
- Stick with 2-3 contrasting (or ‘complimentary’) colours
- Use spacing to contrast with a bold element

And that’s the gist of it. If you take all our advice on board then, hopefully, you should start to notice an improvement in your creative graphics.
