There are more than 720 million LinkedIn profiles, are you one of them?
LinkedIn is a great B2B platform that allows you to network with business owners, managers and employees from all over. Publishing directly on LinkedIn also increases your reach and allows you to connect directly with customers.
Video is available and highly engaging
Did you know that LinkedIn gives you the option to post video updates directly on the platform? It’s a dynamic way to engage your audience and get more views on your content, more so than text and image posts.
Various ways experts have utilised video for LinkedIn is by uploading short snippets in video, and longer content in articles or blogs. For example, you could publish a 60-second video status update on a topic and give your audience that relevant piece of information. Then in this video, you can refer them to a LinkedIn post you have written previously on said topic. This helps to drive traffic to the article and deepen engagement.
Write once and share multiple times on LinkedIn
Do you already blog somewhere else? Make use of that content by repurposing it to LinkedIn.
There’s multiple ways you can do this.
1. Use it as it’s own content
Talk about this amazing piece of content you’ve written and how it can provide the reader with some great insight and advice. But remember to share the blog link in the comments so LinkedIn doesn’t penalise you for taking the reader off LinkedIn.
2. Use it to reply to someone else’s discussion
Seen an interesting post on LinkedIn that you feel could provide insight to? Let’s say someone has shared a post about an unsuccessful Facebook campaign. You could reply in the comments with some advice, and maybe link them to that blog you wrote recently about tips and tricks for more successful Facebook ads.
There’s nothing wrong with repurposing old content, in fact it’s one of the best ways to ensure you make the most of it. Why spend all that time on perfecting it if you’re only going to share it once?
LinkedIn is so great for many other reasons, but those are just a couple of point for you to mull over. Looking for some more advice? Then we’d be happy to have a chat, just drop us an email at julie@purposemarketing.co.uk.
